About Me

Hello!

I am an Instructional Media Specialist working at Chemeketa Community College in Salem, Oregon USA since 2009.

Current Experience

Currently I work in the Center for Academic Innovation on a faculty support team. I specialize in instructional media and work with faculty on content creation, use of technology and media, best practices and pedagogical use of media, media enabled classroom technology, and more. My role also includes system administrator for Zoom, Kaltura, and Canvas.

Prior Experience

My former professional background was in video game development prior to working in higher education. I started my career in 1994 as a motion graphics designer and video editor while in college working for Dynamix, Inc. with a team of media professionals creating games for PC and consoles. Later in my career I worked for the parent corporations, Sierra Entertainment (formerly Sierra Online) in Bellevue, WA and eventually with Vivendi Universal Games in Los Angeles, CA before leaving the organization in 2004. I produced countless marketing trailers and in-game video content for numerous titles.

In 2004-2005 I worked at ArenaNet, Inc. in Bellevue, WA and was responsible for the scripting and creation of the in-game cinematic cut scenes for Guild Wars.

Education

In 2001 I obtained my Bachelor degree in Fine and Applied Arts from the University of Oregon and my Associate of Arts degree in 1998 from Lane Community College.
